This 120d came in to see us a while ago for a retune and the addition of a popcorn limiter! This video is not a video to show you "how fast" the car is (as it definitely looks slow in the video), it was just staged to show you the popcorn limiter!
The car came to us with an unknown tune which we managed to improve upon power-wise and add the popcorn limiter to (which the owner was previously told was not possible).
The customer came to us having had the car tuned elsewhere. It previously made just over 180bhp due to over-boost issues and then it would go into limp mode.
We started again from a stock file, calibrating the car for smooth power delivery and optimum power for the setup (stock, apart from the exhaust). After we had finished the power tune we started setting up the flames/pops and bangs to be exactly as the customer wanted them. After 6 revisions we got them spot on and also added a hardcut limiter (which the customer was previously told was not possible).
Stock power - 121bhp & 148ft/lb
Our tune - 158bhp & 215ft/lb 😈 🚗💥
Peak gains of 37bhp and 67ft/lb - and most importantly NO MORE OVER-BOOST!

Excellent numbers considering the high mileage and original cam (still in good condition!) and not pushing the injectors beyond their limits.
Customer requested a bit of smoke with the tune.
